I had a great shoot with a lovely family of three today. Mum Amanda, had been referred to me by a previous client.
We started our session off at the family home where baby Jade laid comfortably on Mum and Dad's bed. This was a great time to take some images in a very relaxed environment.
Later on we decided to head out to Fagan Park at Dural to get some outdoor shots in many different settings.

Baby Ava

Today I had the pleasure of photographing lovely little nine week old Ava.  Mum had bought her a few outfits for the shoot. including a pink tutu and a ladybird top and hat. Mum also particularly wanted some shots of Ava with some family rings that had been passed down to her.

Meet Harrison

After photographing his mum in her pregnant state, little Harrison decided to come into this world just a couple of days later. I photographed him at his new home along with his parents, Diane and Dave and  new big sister Charlotte.
Mum is from South Africa so she wanted to integrate some African plush toys that she had for Harrison. I borrowed a natural looking trunk from the school I work at and also decided to use a djembe (African drum) which belonged to my husband for props.
Harrison proved to be a very delightful and co-operative model with barely a whimper throughout the whole session.
I hope you enjoy them.

Di's Maternity Shoot

I was approached by Di to photograph her in her very pregnant state just before I was about to leave for England to visit my son. While I was away I thought about how I would like to capture Di to give her some special images - long grass and sunset immediately came to mind as we both lived reasonably close to an appropriate venue for the shoot. Unfortunately, on the day of the shoot, Sydney had some fierce bushfires happening which covered the Sydney Basin with a thick haze of smoke, so I ended up at Di's house where we made use of a plain white wall and a couple of features in her garden. We decided to try for the outdoor shots on the next day but it was not just meant to be  as Di's daughter Charlotte became ill so we postponed again. Two days later little Harrison was born. Talk about cutting it fine! Di was more than happy to just be able to have a few memories of her pregnant state.

Here are a few images from that ill fated shoot.

Craig, Angela, Caitlin and Aliana

I have photographed this family a couple of times before but now little Aliana  is on the scene as well. I met Craig, Angela and the girls at Nurringingy Reserve which is one of my favourite spots for family photo shoots as there is a variety of scenic areas within the park. I took my trusty wicker chair to use as a prop and the girls just loved sitting in it.

A Little Bit Country...

I currently work at a school in the music department where I work with a great bunch of teachers. I have told them all that I would give them one free shoot with their family/friends. Lynne decided to take me up on my offer and as her son and daughter-in-law own a horse we decided to go for a country theme. We headed off to a nearby National Park located very close to the stables where Sam the horse was agisted. After the shoot with the horse we then headed to Rouse Hill Regional Park to catch the last sunrays of the day.

Sean's First Birthday

I had the privelege of photographing one year old Sean the day after his first birthday. Sean is of Korean heritage and it was a delight to see him dressed in his traditional birthday outfit called dol-bok.
The party tables were still set up with the birthday cake and decorations. Here are a few images from the shoot.
